Can we safely say that Kris Allen will be the American Idol in 2009? Not so fast. Though the poll I've set up seems to predict it we need to keep in mind that most of you who've answered the poll are Kris Allen fans so you are a bit biased. Also, the results of the poll is not based on last night's performances but also on the performance of the top 3.
Then again, why not? Will find out that Kris Allen wins American Idol season 8? More and more people are curious about him. Which means he probably caught the attention of more people last night than Adam Lambert has.
Most bloggers and journalists are however predicting an Adam Lambert win but not me. I think the silent majority who doesn't spend its time writing blogs or commenting on them is the one who made the calls and texts last night and chances are most of them voted Kris Allen.
Kris Allen has been slowly and surely growing a massive fanbase. We can even say that he has started to grow on many people who were hesitant to adopt him at first. Now there seem to be no stopping him on his quest for the ultimate victory.

Watch Kris Allen perform Heartless on American Idol
For those of you who missed it last night you can watch this video of Kris Allen performance when he sang Kanye West's Heartless with his acoustic guitar.
It's the most memorable performance of the night that might just win him a spot in the finale. Last week Kris went back to Conway, Arkansas, for a homecoming. The other two contestants also had their own homecoming in their hometown. Many people finally got to take a better look at Kris Allen's wife during the homecoming parade.
Predictions on the internet have put Danny Gokey on the chopping block with Kris Allen and Adam Lambert being safe. However since the vote margin is not really important the results could go either way. Anybody could go home tonight.

American Idol Top 3 - Season 8

The American Idol Top 3 contestants for season 8 are finally known: Adam Lambert aka Glambert, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen. After the results on may 6 2009, Allison Iraheta was eliminated. I remember last year reading a comment from a fan who said that Jason Castro and Brooke White were the male and female version of the same person. This season I read someone saying that Danny Gokey and Kris Allen are the same person, same background and same history.
The Brooke White/Jason Castro analogy rang truer than the Danny Gokey/Kris Allen. Both Jason and Brooke played instruments on the show and their "artistry" as Kara DioGuardi would put is what kept them in the competition for as long as they lasted, Jason looks did help him too and that's why he went farther than Brooke. This year we saw Kris Allen play both the guitar an the piano, what did Danny Gokey play? That's right, nothing! Danny Gokey is playing the nice guy card after playing the grieving widower card. Kris is mostly playing the cute-under-ther-radar-ordinary-guy card.
I've never been a Danny Gokey fan but I can't deny that the man knows what he's doing when it comes to singing. Kris knows what he's doing when it comes to playing his instruments, I'm not so sure about his singing though. Since Danny Gokey and Kris Allen have so much in common they probably share part of their voters. This only means that it's harder for both of them to get more votes than Adam since he has a totally different fan-base. Especially Danny. Adam is a bigger competition to Danny than Kris has been so far. Remember, Danny Gokey has never been in the bottom three ever, not even last night.
Adam Lambert has it easy. He's in a category of his own and does not have/need to win votes from either Kris Allen or Danny Gokey. Yet the danger for him would be if one of those guys looses most of his votes could go directly to the other one... I think.
Yet, I know one Adam Lambert fan who also thinks Danny Gokey is good even though he wishes Adam wins. Yet, that fan does not read American Idol News and blogs on the Internet...

American idol group 2 winners
The three winners from group 2 are Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen. Once again the guys have outnumbered the girls in this group. I guess the judges were right when they said that this season the guys were better than the girls. But wait, didn't they say the same thing about last season? Yes I pretty much think they did an din the finals we did in fact have two guys. In fact the top four was made of three guys and just one girl.
I personally don't it the sex matters as long as the best contestant wins, it's a competition after all and if the guys are better than the girls then they deserve to win I guess.
There are six seats remaining to be filled, three of which will be filled by the highest vote getters of group 3 and the three remaining by the judges themselves. Let's just hope that the judges don't disappoint America in their choices.

American Idol Jacksonville
The audition sessions in Jacksonville were, for the most part, not particularly exciting. Less than 20 contestants made it to Hollywood this time, that's 20 on thousands who tried out.
One of those that you should remember is certainly AnnMarie Boskovitch from Nashville Tennessee. As soon as she sung a few notes for a Kara DioGuardi song everybody knows that she will be going to Hollywood, especially after seeing all the not-so-great previous auditioners. Some have labeled her the first contender for this year.
Other successful contestants include T.K. Hash, Jasmine Murray and George Ramirez. The Jacksonville episode also included a flashback on Randy Jackson's career. They showed him playing with the rock band Journey.
Below are photos of Randy in the 80's with his band Journey.

American Idol San Francisco
Last night was the third episode of American Idol. The most popular reality show on If you're a fan of the show it's a good thing to watch those auditions especially if your favorite contestant from the top 12 is shown auditioning. It's always good to have memories of how the audition went, what the judges thought of him/her at the time and so on.
Let's hope that American idol will put on a more entertaining show tonight.
American Idol is surely the most popular show on Fox even better, it's the most popular show on American Television. It's really a big deal. Not many shows can keep its viewers tuned in for two days in a row. It's also a reality show which means that all those contestants actually work for free for Fox.
For this season the show has yet to reach its most exciting moments when the contestants are voted to advance for the next round.
You can witness the contestants evolution from idol hopeful to leaving in dream. You may read a American Idol Season 8 Episode 3 recap of last nights episode on wannatech.
